Citadel Park is being developed on a 39.48-acre site located on the west bank of the Peace River. The site is located just minutes from the Peace River town center and situated high on a riverbank that allows for views towards downtown and the river valley.

Located immediately south of Citadel Park is the local ski hill with its new chalet. Incorporated into the Citadel park community will be ski trails allowing several of the properties to have "ski-up" access. This popular local recreational area provides acres of open space along Citadel Park's boundary.

To the immediate east side of Citadel Park is the Peace River with its waterfront walking trails. Land along the river will be dedicated reserve.

By way of an extensive planning and review process, The Town of Peace River has approved an Area Structure Plan bylaw that will serve to guide development of the site. Within the Area Structure Plan, this community has been approved for development of single family homes, townhouse, duplexes, and apartment buildings. In addition, Citadel Park will have a 2.07-acre commercial site fronting on Shaftesbury Trail for local community needs.

Other features of this development include a decorative entry park and connecting linear park areas, a safe and cost effective road design, environmental reserve and storm water management facility to be located by the river frontage, access to the upper bench from 90 Street, and good visibility from all the apartment sites to the river and downtown.
